ccSam helped assemble and set-up Ben’s birthday toys last night before going to bed. Of course, he had to sample each one as he was placing it in the appropriate place.
This morning when Ben awoke I don’t think he had a clue what all the fuss was about. Regardless, he had a great time all day playing with his new toys & drinking his big boy whole milk (Sam was thrilled by this) from a sippy cup.
This afternoon, Sam helped me make cupcakes for Ben. I wanted white cups, Sam wanted Diego. Of course, it didn’t matter but we settled for half of each style. While Sam waited patiently for them to cook & cool….we went outside to play. After a few minutes it started to rain so I put Sadie inside while I dried the boys off. If you know Sadie, you know what she did. That bad, bad girl ate all but one (how kind of her to leave one for Ben’s Birthday Celebration) cupcake.
Tonight after Ben blew out the candle on his cupcake, we cut the cupcake in half for the boys. Ben took one look at the cupcake and immediately threw it on the floor (I’m still laughing about it). Sam, on the other hand, meticulously put sprinkles on his portion and then ate it quickly.
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, BEN! I hope you had a memorable first year of your life.
