Happy July 4th

Unfortunately, the firework show in Houston didn’t start until 9:30pm. So, we decided against taking the boys to see it. Instead we let Sam stay up late and we barbequed in the backyard (with a minor fire on the grill…but we won’t go into detail about that). Sam got into bed at 9pm and as soon as we heard the boom from the firework show downtown, we grabbed him out of bed and watched the show on our front porch. Next year we promise to take the boys to see the fireworks up close and personal, but tonight we had a wonderful night hanging out in the Heights.
