Turning 4 is Sometimes Hard To Do!

Sam got to the downside of turning 4 today…the doctor appointment. We’ve heard from friends that it was going to be tough…but I (and Sam) just wasn’t prepared for how a 4-year-old would react to FIVE shots. He passed the blood pressure, hearing & sight tests with flying colors but when it came time for the shots…well he just couldn’t hold it in anymore. I had one hand on Ben so he wouldn’t get into the trash that was so nicely put in his line of sight…and the other hand & my entire body on Sam trying to hold him down. It was just so sad. Luckily, the nurse had a stack of Spiderman stickers waiting for him and I promised Lupe Tortilla as lunch. So normalcy & order has returned for the time being. All I know is that Scott will be at the front of the sub line to take Ben when his 4-year-old check-up rolls around.
