On our way home from school yesterday, Sam noticed a bunch of police horses at the park near our house. He screamed with delight and couldn’t wait to get up to the park. As soon as we arrived, Sam took off running across the park so that he could see them better. But the moment he got close he immediately came to a halt. I think he underestimated the size of these animals. And to his defense, they were some LARGE horses. After about an hour of avoiding the horses, I got him close enough for a picture but there was no amount of time that was going to get him to pet them. For now, I think we’ll just love horses from a distance!
